Joining material pasts with future designs

Circulating Matters 2 explores the potential of a local circular construction industry in New York State. Material originally recovered from the Catherine Commons Deconstruction Project was initially displayed at the 2022 Cornell Biennial. This installation is constructed by documenting the disassembly of that reuse, redesigning, and reassembling the construction for its new location at Art Omi—demonstrating how building materials can be reused through careful design and disassembly.
