Designer, Builder, Process-Maker

I have worked to gain a holistic understanding of the AEC industry from both professional and research-based opportunities.‍ ‍

Andrew Boghossian is the deconstruction coordinator at Finger Lakes ReUse. He leads local salvage and deconstruction efforts and supports regional stakeholders in the adoption of reuse practices that can spur greater circularity. This is informed through his research and design practice— ABCDE.

He has conducted research into both the technical and biogenic cycling of materials in our built environment to develop LiDAR-assisted building surveying for material reuse and diversion from waste streams, as well as to test mycelium structural panels grown from local agricultural waste. Andrew received his Bachelor’s of Architecture at Cornell University in 2023 with a focus in architectural science and technology as well as a minor in Urban and Regional Studies. Andrew has previously worked in historic preservation, architectural design, and building deconstruction and salvage.

I work not just to perform design ideation to construction management services but develop a sustainable, design-focused practice of maximizing a building’s utility for clients and the environment by viewing what buildings can contribute over their entire life cycle---rather than what they can extract.
